There is a misconception on what Marx said. First he did not say that any coutnry would become "communist" first, he meant they would enter the transition to communism first, i.e. Socialism. However Marx and Engels both made the mistake that the third world nations would become capitalist by the Bourgeoisie of the Capitalist European nations in order to undergo easy market relations in those nations. This is far from what happen, as the Capitalist nations were Imperialists, and as Imperialists did not built Capitalism in these nations, but retarded it. They did only to export capital to these "third world" nations, or exported capitalism's exchange relations. This Marx and Engels could not see in foresight.
